Normal night at the hut 7-9pm.

We had hoped on going Iceskating but unfortunately the rink time table and scout night didn’t line up. We will try to sort it in the new year.

12th Nov – 999 night

Normal night at the hut 7-9pm.

If the scouts want to down load an app called “what3words” it can be used tonight.

Big well done to everyone who attended parade on Sunday. Especially the flag holders Katherine, Rosanna and Abby. And the speakers in the service Will, Jay and Magnus.

10th Nov – remembrance parade

9 Nov

Dear Parents,

Parade will be this Sunday, 10th November. We will be meeting at 10am at the High Street / Utkinton Road by the small triangle of land. Please note the High Street will be closed off at 10am. Please park in the local car parks.

Smart uniform to be worn, scout shirt with neckerchief and poppy, school trousers and black school shoes. Small change is also required for the collection.

A service will be held in St. Helen’s Church and then we will continue to the Community Centre at 12 noon where the parade will end.

We look forward to seeing your sons and daughters on Sunday.

5th Nov – bonfire food

3 Nov

Normal night at the hut 7-9pm.

We will be out side a bit this week so bring a coat.

Big thank you to those who helped and/or came to the bonfire at weekend.

Rememberance parade is Sunday and details below.

Explorers, Scouts and Cubs should turn up at Burton Square (the small triangle of land between the High Street and Utkinton Road at the Chester end of the High Street) at 10.00 a.m. Please note that the High Street is going to be closed off at 10.00 a.m. in readiness for the parade. Therefore, it is probably best to approach from the northeast end of Forest Road and drop your children off at Woodlands Way from which they can walk down to Burton Square. Otherwise I suggest you park in one of the local car parks and walk from there although your car may be trapped for around 30 minutes. Arrangements for Beavers will be a little different and parents of Beavers will be advised separately by Claire Uzum or Lucy Griffith. Explorers, scouts, cubs and beavers should be dressed in smart, full uniform. Black school shoes, black/grey school trousers and a poppy should be worn. A small sum of money for the collection is advisable. Always difficult to predict precisely but proceedings should be over by noon at the Community Centre.

Attendance by cubs, scouts and explorers is regarded as obligatory but if your son / daughter is unable to take part, for good reason, then please let the relevant section leader know.
